grandpa's ear
grandpa was hurting so badly since he lost part of his ear. he looked like vincent van gogh. i called him ronnie van gogh and he appreciated it. he had a tumor that was removed and boy, it was cancerous alright. his van gogh look reminded me of the time i saw “aeon flux” and the black woman got her ear bitten off. i thought she looked like patti labelle. when she lost her ear, i called her patti van gogh.

— grandpa and mom came by and had to do some business. mom was playing with mimi and i was taking pictures and playing old vinyl records. i showed her a copy of the soundtrack to “baby doll.”

she then told me that karl malden had died and that he starred in the film “baby doll.” i looked him up and found the vintage american express commercial. i also found the trailer to “cat o’ nine tails,” a giallo thriller directed by dario argento.
